I am a highly motivated First-Class Honours graduate in Psychology with a strong passion for academic excellence, mental health, and research. I graduated from the University of Kelaniya with a perfect GPA of 4.0 and was honored with the Academic and Sports Excellence Award (2025), the highest recognition for outstanding all-round performance.My professional interests are centered around counseling, student development, and psychological research. As a Trainee Psychological Counselor at the Department of Probation & Child Care Services, I gained hands on experience in youth rehabilitation, conducting both individual and group counseling sessions while applying cognitive and substance abuse intervention techniques to support emotional well-being.In addition, I served as a University Student Ambassador for the National Child Protection Authority, representing 17 state universities in national level child rights advocacy. Through this role, I actively contributed to awareness programs, workshops, and policy related initiatives, further strengthening my leadership, communication, and social impact skills.Beyond academics, I have demonstrated excellence in sports and co-curricular activities, earning international and national recognition in Taekwondo and Karate, as well as achieving University Colours. My involvement in debating, public speaking, and leadership roles has further enhanced my confidence and presentation abilities.My long term goal is to become a Psychology Lecturer, contributing to academia through teaching, research, and mentorship.
